Report Forms and Functionality
The
Crime/Incident Report is separated into 5 distinct sections
based on common usage by officers who have to write reports
daily. It flows from one subject matter to the next in a logical,
easy and useful fashion. Each section has one or more screens
for data entry that collects all the information necessary
to produce printed reports in the agency's format. The Print
Preview function allows the user to view the final report as
it would be printed in the familiar agency format.
Crime/Incident
Report Entry sections
1.
Crime/Incident pages/screens are the basic cover page(s) of
any police report. There are commonly 4 data entry sections
of multiple screens. [View]
2.
People pages/screens gather the witness, victim, suspect, other
involved parties. This is an intelligent screen set. If you
select to enter a suspect 7 pages are available to enter suspect
related and even booking information. If you select to enter
any other class of involved party only the top page is needed
and available for data entry. [View]
3.
Vehicle page/screen is a single screen for entry of any related
vehicle information, these are associated to an involved party
(witness, victim, suspect, other or unknown). [View]
4.
Property page/screen is a single screen for entry of any property,
evidence, contraband, confiscated, unknown association items.
5.
Word Processor is actually a link to a commercial word processing
package of the agency's choice. Our standard is MicroSoft Word2000.
We support earlier versions of MS Word or current and previous
version of WordPerfect. This is an integration with the chosen
package we provide a specialized tool bar within the word processing
package. We also provide a template/macro that imports data
from the current report, sets up agency specific headers and
template style formatting.
