CLETS Manual

The CLETS Manual is published and maintained by the CLETS Administration Section (CAS) of the Department of Justice. It contains vital information regarding policies and practices, error messages, and administrative messages as well as formats for accessing NLETS, Oregon LEDS, and the Canadian Connection.


CJIS Manual

The CJIS Manual is published and maintained by the Department of Justice programs. There is a section containing input and response formats for each of the following CJIS applications - Stolen Vehicles, Wanted Persons, Boats, Firearms, Property, Missing Persons, Unidentified Persons, VCIN/Sex and Arson Registration, and Supervised Release.


CHS User Guide

The CHS User Guide is published and maintained by the Criminal History Records section of the Department of Justice. It is designed to assist authorized agencies in interpreting the information provided in a criminal history record.


CHS Inquiry Manual

The CHS Inquiry Manual is published and maintained by the Criminal History Records section of the Department of Justice. It is an instruction manual for authorized users of criminal history data.


DMV Manual

The DMV manual is published and maintained by the Department of Motor Vehicles. It contains all information required to successfully access the Department of Motor Vehicles records.

NCIC 2000 Data Dictionary

This manual contains a dictionary of the data field codes, field lengths and field contents for all data contained within NCIC.

NCIC Manual

This manual, when it arrives, will contain all of the input and response formats for NCIC transactions.

NLETS Manual

The NLETS manual is published and maintained by the CLETS Administration Section of the Department of Justice. It can also be found in Section 4 of the CLETS manual. It contains information and formats for accessing NLETS.

VCIN CLETS User Guide

The VCIN CLETS User Guide is published and maintained by the Violent Crime Information Center Section of the Department of Justice. It contains all of the input and response formats for VCIN transactions via CLETS.
